💖 To the moms out there feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or just plain stretched too thin—I see you. I am you. And I want you to know: You are doing an incredible job, even when it doesn’t feel like it. Sometimes, our biggest challenges turn into our greatest victories.

🏡 From Public School to Homeschool: A Leap of Faith

When I made the decision to pull my son from public school to homeschool him, I knew I was stepping into the unknown. He was in 6th grade, diagnosed with ADHD, and I watched him slowly fade into the background of a system that didn’t seem built for him. His grades didn’t reflect his intelligence. But I knew he was more than capable. I knew that, if given the right structure, he would thrive.

And I was right.

I created a plan tailored to him—challenging but not overwhelming, structured but flexible enough to keep him engaged. And guess what? It worked. He started excelling in subjects he once struggled in. But while he was thriving, I was drowning.

🏥 Working Night Shifts & Daytime Homeschooling: The Burnout Was Real

At the time, I was working night shifts at the hospital while homeschooling during the day. It was rewarding but exhausting. I barely had time to breathe, let alone take care of myself. It was a cruel irony—my son was finally succeeding, but I was running on fumes. I knew something had to give.

So I explored online courses. He did well, but he would breeze through them so quickly that I had to keep finding new material. That’s when it hit me—what if he could start college early?

And that’s exactly what we did.

🚀 Fast forward to now: Within his first three months of 10th grade, he already has 12 college credits. Talk about a proud mom moment! But the journey wasn’t just about his success—it was about finding a sustainable way to support him without losing myself in the process.

🤰 A Tough Pregnancy & A New Business

Then came another twist—an unexpected but beautiful one.

When I found out I was pregnant with my second son, now my busy, adorable 2-year-old, I knew I needed to shift gears. I left my hospital job, knowing I wanted to be home more. My husband and I needed two incomes, so I started the process of opening an in-home daycare. It seemed like the perfect solution—financial stability while still being present for my kids.

But life had other plans.

I had a very challenging pregnancy. Two doctor visits a week, constant pain, and I gained 50 pounds. It delayed everything. Financially, being out of work for a year and a half hit us hard. There were days I wasn’t sure how we were going to bounce back. But I kept pushing.

And finally… we did.

💼 I opened my daycare, and business has been BOOMING! But let me be real with you—it hasn’t been easy. Financial recovery is still a process, but every month, we inch closer to the life we envisioned.

🏆 What I’ve Learned About Balancing Family & Finances

Moms, we carry so much. We give our all to our kids, our marriages, our businesses, and somewhere in the mix, we forget that we matter too.

So if you’re in the thick of it right now—financially, mentally, emotionally—here’s what I want you to know:

✔️ It’s okay if your journey isn’t linear. There will be setbacks, and that doesn’t mean you’re failing.
✔️ You don’t have to choose between being a great mom and being financially secure. You can have both—it just takes creativity and persistence.
✔️ Hard seasons don’t last forever. Keep pushing, keep adjusting, and keep believing in the future you’re working toward.

I’m still on this journey. Some days, I feel like we’re killing it. Other days, I feel like we’re still catching up. But overall? We are building a life that works for us, and that’s what truly matters.
